Mauricio Dubon, the do-it-all Houston Astros utility man, has signed with Solaro Shades and unveiled his Honduran-themed colorway as a tribute to his home country.
The Dubon 1 were announced during the Astro's 2023 Playoff run. 10% of sales for these glasses will go towards supporting the Obra Hermanas de Jesús Buen Samaritano, a house in Honduras for children with special needs.
The frame is washed in the same cool blue color of the Honduras flag and the lens features the five stars from the flag, which represent five nations that were once part of the Federal Republic of Central America.
The Dubon 1s are an incoming member of the Eclipse collection, which features a new frame shape and ventilated lenses to promote airflow and decrease fogging. Like all Solaro Shades, The Dubon 1 include 5 performance lenses: primary (blue), mirror, blackout (polarized), yellow glare-reduction and transparent safety lenses. They also have an adjustable nose peice.
